Managing General Partner

Yongama is an accomplished entrepreneur cutting his teeth in business, commercializing early stage deep tech, emanating from publicly financed research.

He has spent the last 12 years as founder, co founder and investor in multiple ventures, spanning industries such as SaaS, GreenTech, AgriTech, FoodTech as well as Mobile Gaming & Marketing.

Armed with a deep understanding of the venture development process, as operator, he is able to effectively understand value chains and business models geared for growth and scaling of startups.

Zolani Madikazi
General Partner

Zolani Madikazi is a relentless entrepreneur, who has burned his fingers so many times in starting up businesses. With more than ten years’ experience of being involved in entrepreneurial startups, he has paid some school fees and has gotten a well-rounded skill set working in a Venture Capital environment. The experience he gained at Knife Capital as an Investment Banker from RMB has given him the real-world financial skills, extra confidence, and eradicated potential blind spots.

Nawal Ramasar
Venture Partner

Nawal Ramasar (B.Sc.; M.B.A.) is an entrepreneur that started and exited over 21 businesses in his 30-year+ business career. He has grown businesses in property development, petrochemical, energy, transport, food retail, franchising and economic development and has worked with national and multi-national brands.

He is the founder of BusinessXL, (www.businessxl.co.za), a business coaching and mentoring consultancy focusing on developing and growing young technology entrepreneurs.

His key strengths include facilitation, ideation, business growth strategies, marketing and property development. Nawal is passionate about helping entrepreneurs to grow their businesses through coaching and linking them into the relevant value add ecosystems and contacts. He is an advocate of Business Design technology that serves to minimize risk and increase the productivity of entrepreneurs thereby saving them time, money and energy.

Ludwe Luxande
Associate Analyst

Ludwe is a technologist at heart. He is drawn towards enabling the latest tech to solve real-world problems, having co-founded Ashanti AI an AI company. He strongly believes in data-driven decisions and has gained experience as a data scientist working in different sectors from Thames Water, Outsurance, and Deloitte Consulting. He is an advocate for the appropriate use of blockchain and is excited to see solutions emerge.
